Dunkin’ Donuts Grand Opening At Hofstra University

Campus Dining by Compass Group is opening the well-renowned Dunkin’ Donuts at Hofstra University. America’s every-day stop for coffee and baked goods will be located on the south side of campus at Roosevelt Quad.

Formerly CafĂ© on the Quad, the revamped location will feature the full-service franchise serving all things Dunkin’ –from their high-quality hot and iced coffee to their frozen beverages, like the Coolatta. The brand’s other signatures will also be available, like Cold Brew and a lineup of Rainforest Alliance Certified™ espresso beverages –Americano, Cappuccino, Espresso, Macchiato, Hot and Iced Lattes.Menu offerings include their famous delicious donuts, bakery goods, and breakfast sandwiches that pair perfectly with the brand's extensive drink list.

The dining facility may seem unassuming to passersby as the exterior of the building remained mostly untouched. The interior, on the other hand, will have the look and feel of a modern Dunkin’ Donuts with brand new tables and window seating for guests to relax, eat, and study.

Although a full-service store, the location will not be able to accommodate the mobile ordering app, and subsequently the DD Perks program, due to the platform, which is not integrated to run on the store’s point-of-sale systems. The location will still be able to accept gift cards, but will not distribute and sell them.

The grand opening week will occur upon Hofstra students’ return from spring break. On March 26, 2018, the Hofstra community will be able to purchase Dunkin’ Donuts products and merchandise right on campus. Students will be able to utilize their meal plan at this dining facility as well.

There will be a grand opening event on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 to welcome the new retail location to Hofstra’s dining program. A Hofstra-themed donut will be designed by Campus Dining’s Certified Pastry Chef Jacquie Greene, which will run as a limited time offer for the first week. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 12:00 PM EST and will highlight the individuals who were part of the university's dining committee that helped approve the Dunkin’ Donuts addition as part of last year’s rebid process.
