Exercising in the heat of the summer, particularly outdoors, can be discouraging, but as long as you stay well hydrated and smart with your routine, you can get it done! Water is the best drink of choice, but if you're outside for an extended period of time, try a drink that has electrolytes to replenish what's lost through sweat.
One other helpful tip to make your workout a success..., avoid outdoor exercise in the heat of the day (11-3p.m.). Extreme heat and humidity can be dangerous to your body so choose your options wisely and either exercise early morning, later in the evening or simply indoors.
Most important is to stay consistent with your exercise regime through all the seasons of the year! Keep fitness fun and stay strong!
Happy training!

about how much water should I be drinking when working out on a hot day?
ReplyDeletePat BOOM Montagano is right - don't abandon your exercise routine. My advice is: exercise in the Fitness Center - cool, nice and quiet this time of the year!
ReplyDeleteThe newly renovated Fitness Center is awesome! Definitely motivates me to get there
