Winter Blast: One Weekend. Cool Events.

Winter Blast weekend comes to campus to heat things up Friday, February 3, through Sunday, February 5, 2012. Let us cure your winter blues!

Friday, February 3:
Show off your dance skills at the Dance Dance Revolution tournament hosted by the Office of Student Leadership and Activities. Winner will receive a prize!
7 p.m., Hof USA

Saturday, February 4:
An action packed day with the following signature events:

. "Pre La Fete" - An indoor celebration that will feature indoor attractions including a mechanical bull, laser tag, karaoke contest on our main stage, food, prizes, and much more!
1:30-3:30 p.m., David S. Mack Physical Education Center, North Campus

. Hofstra Men's Basketball Game vs. Georgia State University - Students attend the game for free but must pick up tickets ahead of time at the Arena Box Office. Students can purchase additional tickets to the game for guests.
4 p.m., David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, North Campus
*Welcome Back Students and Staff Appreciation Day

. "Mardival" -Hosted by our mistress of ceremonies Olivia from Vh1's Love & Hip Hop with music by Power 105.1's DJ Norie, and performances by Hofstra's Imani Dance Ensemble, The Sugar Tone Brass Band and Fat Joe! Think beads, masks, feathers, costumes and fun!
6:30-9 p.m., David S. Mack Physical Education Center, North Campus

Sunday, February 5:
Whether you are a fan of New York, New England, or just a fan of having a super fun time, join the Office of Student Leadership and Activities, and fellow students, for all the action! Watch the game while winning prizes and enjoying free appetizers and food specials!
5 p.m.-end of game, Hof USA

Admission for Winter Blast weekend is FREE for all Hofstra students! Students will need a ticket for admission, which can be picked up starting Thursday, January 26 at the Arena Box Office. Tickets will also be available in the Student Center Atrium starting Wednesday, Feb. 1. Families and Alumni are welcome. In addition, there will be a one-to-one guest policy. *The 1-to-1 policy allows each Hofstra student to purchase a ticket for one (1) guest at the adult ticket price in effect based on the date of purchase.
